UFC 108 is just around the corner and feature a much changed card from when it was first announced, the UFC have really had problems with this card with injuries and fighters dropping out of the card to the point where it's now a completely different lineup to what was origionally announced.
Regardless the UFC have still managed to put together a pretty solid card with some great matchups and while it's not as good as the origional line up they are of course pushing hard on their first card of 2010 and that means that Dana is back with his video blogs to hype up the fights and picque our interests

This weekend we have two MMA events going head to head which of course were Strikeforce Evolution and WEC 45 which gave us a minor headache in that we had to choose which we were going to watch. Personally i watched the Strikeforce Evolution card and while i was a little bit worried i might have chose the wrong event to watch those thoughts were quickly quashed though with all four main cards fights really delivering the goods in a night of action thats saw a couple of real upsets

This card once again shows Strikeforce's talent to put on compelling cards that should do the business with a main event featuring the well known and now movie star Cung Le making his return to the Cage, facing off against Scott Smith in what promises to be a stand up war
In the main even we had B J Penn taking on the no 1 contender Diego Sanchez and round one was pretty much all Penn who dropped Sanchez and then hammered in with a flurry of punches that I'm amazed Diego survived, round one definitely went to Penn but kudos to Sanchez for surviving it. Round two was more tentative and harder to call same with round three with Penn's takedown defense holding strong and his post clinch punches landing solidly. Four and five were more of the same Diego showed his drive to keep trying but Penn was just too much, the fight ended with a giant cut, Penn defends his title

Diego Sanchez never gets finished, and B J Penn is a guy who tends to finish fighters, they both have serious strong self belief and the pre fight antics have been stellar so far if you haven't seen the 'Yes Cartwheels' yet then you really need too, hopefully the fight will match up
