MMA Live is back once again with all the latest MMA news, with a special indepth look and breakdown of the upcoming Strikeforce Miami card. With two belts on the line and some interesting match ups the MMA Live crew cast their bets and predictions for all the main fights on the card. With Strikeforce Miami looming on the horizon as the next big MMA show, one of the line up is getting quite a lot of press and that is 47 year old Herschel Walker. The former American Football star is making his MMA debut on the Strikeforce Miami card and so far his press has far overshadowed the other, more experienced fighters in the show.

MMA Live returns with all the lately MMA news, this week Brock Lesnar is the main topic with his healthy return to the UFC. Also on the show this week is Jay Heiron who has a chat with Molly Qerim about his current status in Strikeforce. Floyd Mayweather also gets a mention, and whether the UFC are going to go head to head in a PPV battle against boxing.
Brock Lesnar today is going to speak live on ESPN regarding his future in the MMA world, the current UFC Heavyweight champ has gone through a major illness which has forced the UFC to pitch number one contender Shane Carwin up against Frank Mir instead of the champ.
From all the talk so far it seems as though Brock is going to return to the Octagon sometime later this year but it should be confirmed later during the show on ESPN. With his return highly likely it still remains to be seen how the UFC are going to handle his return
Strikeforce Miami is the next MMA event from the San Jose based promotion, who are almost up to three years or promoting MMA events and Miami is their latest one.
With a main event featuring Nick Diaz Vs Marius Zaromskis which should have fireworks in store, and a co main event of Cristiane Santos Vs Marloes Coenen, we should be in for some interesting action, as Santos defends her title against the striker from Netherlands in Coenen

This weekend and Monday night saw two Zuffa MMA events back to back with WEC 46 and UFC Fight Night 20. WEC saw the return of Uriah Faber who took a submission of the night win over Raphael Assuncao, who got dropped a couple of times before Faber sunk in a rear naked choke that put the former 145lb champ in line for a match against the current champion Jose Aldo.
Jamie Varner made his return also to defend his Lightweight belt against Ben Henderson's Interim Lightweight belt in a fight which saw Henderson finish with a wicked guillotine that Varner didn't want any part off, and sets up the rematch between Henderson and Donald Cerrone which was almost too close to call the first time around
With this weekends MMA events looking strong with two Zuffa run events MMA fans are all set for a great weekend. Of course we have the WEC on Sunday night and then we have UFC Fight Night on Monday. With a main event featuring potential Lightweight contendor Grey Maynard heading up the card against the tough Nate Diaz we have an important fight that Grey needs to win and ideally finish if he wants to even stay in the running with Frankie Edgar

WEC 46 is going to hit our screens on the 10th of January 2010 and will see the lightweight belt unification fight between Jamie Varner and Ben Henderson in what is sure to be an all out battle. As usual Versus will be showing the fight card which also features the return of WEC fan favourite Uriah Faber facing off agains 15 and 1 prospect Raphael Assuncao. Interestingly enough Assuncao's only loss came to Jeff Curran back in 2006 who also fought and lost to Uriah Faber in 2007 but you have to be careful applying MMA math to what should be an explosive fight
