With the first UFC event due to go down on the 21st of this month on Versus, the UFC have stacked up a card that would even make a great PPV event. The main fight of the evening is Brandon Vera taking on Jon Jones in a brilliant match up that pits the up and coming standout against the veteran who used to be the up and comer. Both Vera and Jones have great striking and this is sure to be a fight that will deliver on that level.
Next down the list are two heavyweights that know how to strike with Junior Dos Santos taking on Gabriel Gonzaga and looking to maintain his perfect UFC record.
With Strikeforce Miami looming on the horizon as the next big MMA show, one of the line up is getting quite a lot of press and that is 47 year old Herschel Walker. The former American Football star is making his MMA debut on the Strikeforce Miami card and so far his press has far overshadowed the other, more experienced fighters in the show.

Recent news in the MMA world is that another catchweigth fight is coming our way on the TUF 10 Finale card. Kimbo Slice and Houston Alexander are all set to let it go in the ring at a catchweight fight at 215lbs. No doubt this is going to be an interesting fight to watch, who doesn't want to see these two tough guys go head to head in a brawling match, and of course the UFC need to capitalize on the popularity of their most recent asset Kimbo Slice. But this is another fight at a catchweight, in what seems to be a recently occurring trend for fighters that the UFC in some way want to protect or get on shows due to their popularity
