MMA Live returns with it’s weekly fix of MMA news from around the globe, this week host Jon Anik is joined by WEC’s Miguel Torres and Rashad Evans who break down all the latest MMA News. The focus this week is on the upcoming UFC on Versus card which will see up and coming light heavyweight Jon ‘Bones’ Jones taking on Vladimir Matyashenko and all the panel get to chime in with the verdict that this fight should definitely go in the favour of Jones.

Also popping into the studio this week is Ross Pearson who talks his upcoming fight against Cole Miller and UFC President Dana White also chats via satellite about all the latest goings on in the UFC world.

MMA Live has returned with all the lastest Mixed Martial Arts news, this week regulars Jon Anik, Kenny Florian and Molly Qerim are joined by Pat Miletich as they break down the fights from UFC 113 and talk about how Shogun got the job done.

Molly Qerim continues her review of this seasons TUF with the last preliminary fight airing this week, and the panel also look forward to Strikeforce Heavy Artillery this weekend which will see Brett Roger take on reigning champ Alistair Overeem in a battle for the belt.

With UFC 112 already upon us this evening, if you haven’t had chance to catch the countdown show then now is the perfect time. The first foray for the UFC into the middle east means that they have stacked the card with plenty of interesting fights, including two title fights and the return of a Gracie.

Both of the contenders on UFC 112 are big underdogs but you can never really count anyone out in MMA and that is what is going to make this card so exciting.

MMA Live returns with the rundown on all the latest MMA news and there is a hell of a lot of news to get through, with UFC 111 and UFC Fight Night which saw regular MMA Live host Kenny Florian get a win over Takanori Gomi who joins the show live to talk about the fight.

Frankie Edgar also pops in to talk about his upcoming UFC 112 title fight against the current champ BJ Penn and the panel also discuss the new UFC Interim Heavyweight champ Shane Carwin who beat Frank Mir to become the first in line to face Brock Lesnar.

This week on MMA Live Rashad Evans and Franklin McNeil are on the panel helping out Jon Anik, unfortunately no Molly Qerim again, i hope she returns next week though! The news this week is all about the upcoming UFC Live on Versus with the panel giving their picks on who is going to come out on top in this stand up packed card.

Also popping into the studio is newly signed Bellator fighter Roger Huerta who talks about his new two year contract with the fast rising promotion.

UFC Live – Vera Vs Jones – Video Previews

With the first UFC event due to go down on the 21st of this month on Versus, the UFC have stacked up a card that would even make a great PPV event. The main fight of the evening is Brandon Vera taking on Jon Jones in a brilliant match up that pits the up and coming standout against the veteran who used to be the up and comer. Both Vera and Jones have great striking and this is sure to be a fight that will deliver on that level.

Next down the list are two heavyweights that know how to strike with Junior Dos Santos taking on Gabriel Gonzaga and looking to maintain his perfect UFC record. This is surely going to be a test for Dos Santos even though he will be the favourite going in, Gonzaga is a big powerful striker that also has great Ju Jitsu and might be able to give Dos Santos a real test.

Staying in the heavyweight division we have Cheik Kongo taking on Paul Buentello in a fight that is going to be an out and out striking match, both guys have crisp solid striking and both need a win badly, i don’t know how to call this one, but i think Buentello may be able to catch Kongo with his clean punches, but the French man will have a large reach advantage.

On the final main card fight of the night we see the return of James Irvin taking on Alessio Sakara, and again we should have a nice fast paced striking fight with Irvin probably looking to add another KO to his already impressive collection of highlight real knock outs.

That’s not your lot though with a prelim card that has Clay Guida, Eliot Marshall, Vladimir Matyushenko, Brendan Schuab, and Eric Schafer Versus are certainly getting the right treatment from the UFC on their first card.

MMA Live is back with more of the weeks best MMA News, and this week Jon Anik is joined by Pat Miletich and Franklin McNeil where they break down all the latest news from Strikeforce. Scott Coker the head honcho of Strikeforce also calls in and discusses the future for Fedor, Alistair Overeems return to the cage and the upcoming bout between Dan Henderson and Jake Shields.

The MMA Live crew also discuss the upcoming fights for the WEC and cast their picks on Brian Bowles and Dominick Cruz, and whether Miguel Torres will be victorious in his return to the WEC Cage.

The MMA Live crew also talk about the recent comments Frank Mir made about Brock Lesnar and also have Chael Sonnen in the studio to have a chat.

UFC 111 – St-Pierre Vs Hardy – Trailer

UFC 111 is due to hit screen on the 27th of March 2010 and features the return of highly dominant Welterweight champ George ‘Rush’ St-Pierre taking on Dan ‘The Outlaw Hardy’ in the main event. Also backing up the solid main event is an interim Heavyweight title battle with Heavyweight contenders Frank Mir taking on first round knock out artist Shane Carwin in what is sure to be an explosive and heavy handed battle.

Throw in Ben Saunders coming off his impressive stoppage of Marcus Davis, John Fitch taking on Thiago Alves for a second time and Jim Miller squaring off against Mark Bocek and you have a pretty entertaining card for UFC 111.

Personally i cant wait to see the two headline fights, St-Pierre is near unstoppable but if previous efforts are anything to go by the pre fight hype will be worked to the maximum by Dan Hardy who always has a way to get into his opponents head.

Frank Mir Vs Shane Carwin should also be a great fight, and while Cain Velasquez is waiting in the wings, either of these guys has the power to win via KO and earn a shot at returning champ Brock Lesnar. With Mir recent fight against Kongo we saw knock down power and dangerous submissions, but will Carwin continue his run of first round KO’s and light Mir up, this is definitely going to be one fight you won’t want to blink during.
