Of course we have the UFC 104 results for your right here. Another UFC wraps up and it was a pretty good night of fights all round. The new idea of the UFC to show the Undercard fights worked nicely and gave more to the hardcore fans and the casual fans alike.
From the main event Lyoto Machida and Mauricio Shogun Rua, went all five round in a battle that favored the striking of Shogun although Machida was never really in any trouble but he did lose the fight just not convincingly enough for the judges to give it to Shogun. Machida still retains his belt in the UFC light heavyweight division but some question marks have been raised and Shogun earns a big step up in rankings, showing his wealth of experience with top level competition come through and a very tactical strategy that was 100% more patient than some of his previous fight tactics.

In the co main event we saw heavyweights Cain Velasquez and Ben Rothwell showdown, in what was a one sided affair with Cain taking down Rothwell at will and controlling him in a dominant fashion landing strikes at will. In the second round we saw the ref Steve Mazzagatti make a very strange stoppage while Rothwell was standing up, even though the fight would have been more of the same, it was an early stoppage but takes nothing away from Velasquez who was dominant all the way through and is the real deal in the heavyweight division.

On the main card we saw Joe Stevenson get another win under his belt against Spencer Fisher, pinning Fisher down and finishing the fight with unanswered elbow strikes to the head. Gleison Tibau took a decision victory over Josh Neer with some power bomb take downs that were fun to watch. And finally Anthony Johnson made short work of Yoshiyuki Yoshida finishing the fight with punches in less than 45 seconds.]

The Undercard on UFC 104 had some great fights, we saw Stefan Struve win out a submission victory on Chase Gormley and Struve is definitely one of the better submission heavyweight fighters out there, and its going to be interesting to see who the UFC match him up against next. Chael Sonnen showed complete dominance and took out Yushin Okami in a very athletic and gritty performance. Patrick Barry showed great striking against an admittedly slow Antoni Hardonk if only he had a ground game Barry would be a dangerous heavyweight.
All in all UFC 104 was an interesting card and brings some interesting revelations to the table, while Machida is still elusive, he lost rounds and Shogun showed that he is beatable, this just opens up the Light Heavyweight division again and makes it feel much more competitive. Cain Velasquez proved he is able to use his wrestling strategy on the biggest guys in the division, how would he fare against more traditional wrestlers like Carwin and Lesnar? Well hopefully that will be answered soon after UFC 106.
